Frequently asked questions
Is the embeddable paycheck calculator free?
Yes. It is free for personal, editorial, educational and other non-commercial websites, as long as the "Powered by PaycheckByState" link inside the widget stays visible.
Can I use it on a commercial or lead-generation site?
Please contact us first at [email protected]. Commercial use, white-labelling and removing the attribution link are not covered by the free terms.
Does the widget collect my visitors’ data?
The calculation runs in the visitor’s browser; salary and other inputs are not sent to our servers, and the widget does not load our analytics or advertising scripts.
How current are the numbers?
The widget uses the same 2026 tax engine as paycheckbystate.com and updates automatically each tax year, so embedders do not need to change anything.
